Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in our volunteer program.  We appreciate your willingness to pass along what has been so freely given!  If you are in a 12-step program and have a year or more of sobriety, there are several ways to volunteer at Serenity Recovery Centers:

N

Speak and/or chair meetings on a regular basis

N

Hear 5th Steps

N

Take clients to meetings

N

Supervise clients on outings

For more information, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Paula Hopper at (901) 521-1131 or email paula.hopper@serenityrecovery.org.

In addition to a yearly TB screening, volunteers also need to read, fill out and sign the following:  Volunteer PolicyConfidentiality Statement,  Statement of Understanding.

Bill W. (the co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous) recognized that the recurring desire to drink disappears when on alcoholic works with another. This understanding became a basic principle of the new society. (“The Best of Bill,” page 84)
